It’s been a year since FirstPort launched its charity partnership with Emmaus, a charity supporting people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home and meaningful work in a community setting.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve just passed the £30,000 fundraising mark! With FirstPort matching every penny staff raise, we’re helping to make a real difference in Emmaus’ bid to end homelessness.

Take a look at the fabulous events we’ve hosted so far…

The Queen’s Birthday Celebrations
Like any good celebration, there were decorations, fancy dress, cake, lots of delicious food and of course much laughter around all our offices. Our very own  Queen lookalike was even able to visit our Luton and Halesowen offices to meet and greet her public.

Road to Rio
In honour of the Rio Olympics, our Luton office took on its very own exercise challenge to raise money. With two exercise bikes set up, 64 members of staff took to a relay race throughout the day, taking on 15 minute intervals each for sponsorship.

Leaving for Lapland
Staff at FirstPort’s New Milton office clocked up over 2,000 miles in a festive bid to reach ‘Lapland’ for their Christmas magical fundraising event. 72 members of staff participated in a mammoth nine-hour sponsored static bike relay race.

Snowdon Climb
The FirstPort Graduates and Learning and Development team climbed Mount Snowdon taking an impressive 3 hours to reach the summit.

And there’s more to come…

Executive Sky Dive
On 22 June three members of the FirstPort Exec Team will take on a sky dive for Emmaus. The brave souls are Sue Petri (Managing Director of FirstPort Bespoke Property Services), Felix Keen (Director for Industry Engagement) and Martin King (Director of Business Development, Marketing and Communications). National Cream Tea Day
We’ll be providing packs for our offices and retirement developments to enjoy National Cream Tea Day this year (30th June), a great chance to get together, enjoy some yummy treat, all whilst raising some money.

Ride London
We've a team of eight FirstPort colleagues taking on the challenge of 'Ride London' on Sunday 30 July. The gruelling 100 mile route through London and Surrey will be a challenge for them all, but a great way to raise money and awareness for Emmaus.
