FirstPort Retirement Property Services receives ARMA accreditation and membership

FirstPort is delighted to confirm that its specialist retirement division has been awarded full accreditation from and membership of ARMA (the Association of Residential Managing Agents), joining the rest of the FirstPort businesses which are already long-standing members.

FirstPort Retirement Property Services has been a member of the ARHM (Association of Retirement Housing Managers) for many years, subscribing to the ‘Private Retirement Housing’ Code of Conduct. The company now welcomes the opportunity to further strengthen and improve its governance with the ARMA accreditation.

Receiving this accreditation from the industry’s professional body, which is committed to customer protection in the residential leasehold sector, is testament to the company consistently achieving high professional standards across all areas of property management.

Commenting on the business receiving the accreditation, Chief Executive Nigel Howell said: “Following the move to new ownership and management, FirstPort has significantly changed the way it conducts business across all divisions, with more transparent ways of working in place delivering improved performance and higher levels of customer satisfaction.

“The retirement business receiving this accreditation is evidence of just how far we have come and I am extremely proud of all of our colleagues who have worked hard in enabling us to achieve this.”

As a member, FirstPort Retirement Property Services must comply with the ARMA standards and consumer charter developed specifically for the leasehold property management sector and incorporating independent regulation.
