Dearest Gentle Reader: Later Living residents gather for Bridgerton-themed afternoon

A Later Living community in Norfolk recently entered 19th century high-society, as residents enjoyed a Bridgerton-themed afternoon tea at their development.

Wade-Wright Court, a Later Living development in Downham Market, has a busy calendar of activities and social events for residents to enjoy alongside their neighbours. This latest activity recognised the residents’ love for the popular Netflix period drama, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, with the communal lounge being transformed with flowers and decorations to recreate the Bridgerton House dining room.

Residents also got into the spirit, dressing up to dine alongside their fellow residents and to also enjoy live music courtesy of local performers.

Delyse Carter, Development Manager at Wade-Wright Court, commented: “We’re used to hosting lots of events for the residents, but this one was very special. I did the Flowers myself and hoped to make it look like Bridgerton House Dining Room – all the Residents absolutely loved it!

“I catered for 40 residents to sit down and a further 10, who were not able to attend in person, had their tea delivered to their apartments. Residents also received gifts and other goodies as souvenirs of the occasion!”

Betty, a resident at Wade-Wright Court, expressed her thanks for Delyse’s efforts: “Many thanks for organising such a wonderful ‘Bridgerton’ Event, every detail reflected Delyse’s dedication to making this a very special day for us all!”
