How do I apply for consents, and what are the fees?

Lease consent

1. What we do when we receive a consent request form?

When we receive a request for lease consent we will begin by confirming that FirstPort have authority to give consent. We may request a copy of your lease or freehold transfer to assist us with this. If we do not have authority to give consent we will direct you to the appropriate party.

2. Applying for property alterations

If FirstPort has the authority to give consent we will send you a form to complete and advise you if a fee is payable. Once we have the form and fee we will liaise with your property manager and landlord to secure their approval and issue consent. If you own a leasehold property and the proposed works involve significant or structural alterations a licence to alter may be required. If this is the case we will advise of the additional requirements and fees separately

3. Applying for pet consent

If FirstPort have authority to give consent to keep a pet, we will request of a photo of the pet, a completed form and our fee. We will confirm that there are no restrictions on keeping pets at the development before we issue consent. 4. Applying for your property to be sublet

If FirstPort has the authority to give consent to sublet we will require a copy of the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement, a completed application form, and our fee. Additional fees may be payable on the renewal of tenancy agreements. To request a sublet form please email:

5. All retirement property consents

Retirement Property Consents

We also deal with consents for customers on our Retirement developments such as pet, alterations and subletting.. We also give consent for key safes, external grab rails, mobility scooters and semi-permanent ramps.
