FirstPort has opened its first office in Leicester in a move set to bolster recruitment in the region.
The new office is located in Leicester city centre and it marks a positive move in FirstPort’s continued expansion across the UK.
The workspace will primarily be dedicated to running customer service operations for FirstPort, resulting in over a dozen local employment positions so far, with the aim to boost this further over the coming months.
Natalie Lewis, FirstPort’s Head of Resourcing, explained:
“We’ve seen increased interest for customer service positions in the region and it’s great that we have been able to bring our ideas to fruition and open an office space in the city centre.
“The FirstPort Leicester office is in a brilliant location because it’s easily commutable for those living in the area, with it being right next to the train station and within walking distance of multiple bus routes.”
Preety Gill, Head of Business Improvement at FirstPort, added:
It is great to be expanding our presence in a new geographical area and to be able to offer new job opportunities to local people.
“We have a wonderful new team here in Leicester and St George’s House is a lovely, modern office space. It’s the ideal setting to create a great experience for our customers. We look forward to welcoming more local people to join as we grow our team.”
