The FirstPort Group has partnered with a community events business to launch weekly street food events across a series of its residential developments in London – and it’s proving to be a huge success with residents.
Event Disco has been operating for four years and has run over 1,500 successful events at residential developments nationwide. The company provides weekly rotating street food services and monthly live experiences through its partnerships with a range of independent small business suppliers.
Coming at zero cost to property manager or landlord, the collaboration enables FirstPort to improve residents’ experience beyond traditional property management services whilst offering the community an opportunity to experience a range of food options which are not always available in their local area.
The scheme has been a huge success at Hendon Lakeview, a development of 20 residential blocks in north west London.
Claire Peace, the Development Manager at Hendon Lakeview, explained: “Event Disco has had a positive impact on the community here in many different ways. Residents have told us how much they love the variety of food options available, and in good weather people are getting their food and staying to talk to their neighbours whilst making the most of the communal gardens, which is wonderful to see.”

Event Disco’s rotating street food events feature a single hand-picked trader visiting each client site for one night only. Residents can order through a click-and-collect service via Event Disco’s website or over-the-counter, similar to a traditional farmer’s market.
