At OneSE8, a large and complex residential development that FirstPort manages in Greenwich, London there is Trisha, Frances and Monica. With 1,000 units and several communal facilities, such as a gym and pool, gardens and 24 hour concierge, it is one of our biggest developments.
The three of them have taken on difficult challenges and seen a huge overhaul in site standards and the service we deliver, bringing new ways of working and developing and coaching their team to deliver a high level of service. This International Woman’s Day on 8 March, of course it’s important to champion the woman around us and celebrate their success, especially when these inspiring and successful women work in what can be a typically male-orientated industry.
Having worked directly with Trisha, I am immensely grateful for her coaching and support. Thanks to her coaching I have progressed into a people management role myself, and I will be using lessons learnt from her. Lucky for me this role is less than a mile away, so it is great to still be sharing knowledge and resources with the team and making us all more efficient and happier in our roles knowing there’s people just a short hop away to help.
“An equal world is an enabled world.” International Women’s Day’s mission applies right down to every aspect of work and life. It’s why I’m so proud to work for FirstPort. We celebrate diversity and our differences here.
I put my success in the business down to being led by inspirational female leaders, who are truly passionate about their teams and the ambition to become the UK’s favourite property manager. Let’s make it International Women’s Day, every day.
