Mainstay wins management contract for The Waterside

The Waterside

Mainstay, part of the FirstPort group, has further boosted its foothold in the Midlands region by winning the operational management contract for The Waterside, an exclusive development in Worcester.

The buildings and estate, situated on the original site of the former Royal Porcelain Works factory, constitutes an eclectic mix of private and affordable houses and apartments, together with additional commercial space, and secure car parking facilities.

Mainstay won the contract following a retender of the management contract, for its high quality and innovative approach to management services, which include building safety, in house legal, health & safety, procurement, and environmental management. Another important factor was that Mainstay is headquartered in Worcester and has an established management presence on neighbouring developments.

Charles Lucas, Business Development Director at Mainstay, comments:

“To be instructed on such a high profile development, in our home City, is a proud moment for us all. We have established a strong reputation on adjacent schemes for great communication, a proactive management approach, and robust budgeting. We are delighted to be working with both Berkeley and the residents in such a historic location.”

The contract will commence at the end of April.
