Last weekend, a team of FirstPort colleagues - including Managing Director Martin King - joined hundreds of people from across the country to take on the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge.
Our colleagues stepped up to this incredible 100km challenge in support of our charity partner, RBVE’s Tommy Club, raising vital funds for veterans across the UK.
Taking on demanding 50km and 100km routes over a single weekend, the team demonstrated remarkable determination as they pushed through challenging terrain and warm conditions, walking and running for up to 28 hours.
So far, the FirstPort team has raised over £3,000. These funds will help Tommy Club support more veterans across the UK, ensuring they have access to safe and secure housing, employment and training opportunities.
The charity’s CEO, Lisa Farmer OBE, said:
“The team deserve huge congratulations for taking on such a gruelling event. I’m so grateful to them for taking part, and to everyone who supported them and donated to keep them going. Your efforts are making a real impact on our work providing homes, creating jobs, and building communities for veterans from all around the UK.”
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the FirstPort team, either by sharing the fundraising page, donating, or cheering them on from afar.
If you haven’t already donated, it’s not too late to contribute. You can donate here.
