As the summer has come to an end, we are looking back on the different ways FirstPort communities made the most of the summer months, coming together to enjoy barbecues, garden parties, fundraising events and a range of outdoor activities.
Royal Earlswood Park
At Royal Earlswood Park, the on-site management team hosted a summer fair, bringing the community together for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.
There was something for everyone to enjoy, including a display of Aston Martin cars, alongside a variety of activities and attractions throughout the day.
The event highlighted the strong sense of community at Royal Earlswood Park, creating opportunities for residents to connect and celebrate whilst supporting the Momentum Children’s Charity.
Thanks to the fantastic support and generosity of attendees and local business sponsors, the event raised an incredible total of £2,268 for a much-loved local cause.
Summer barbecue
Residents at Forest Lodge recently made the most of the sunshine with a wonderful summer barbecue celebration.
The event featured a delicious selection of food provided by a local catering company, while an ice cream van added an extra treat for everyone to enjoy.
It was a fantastic opportunity for residents to spend time together, enjoy the warm weather and catch up with neighbours in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Garden picnic and Olympics
Residents at Rowan Court hosted their annual garden picnic and Olympics for the third-year running, combining a day of fun and friendship with fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The charity is close to the heart of residents at Rowan Court, and the event was organised to support the charity amid increasing aviation fuel costs and received fantastic support from the local community. Suppliers generously donated raffle prizes, while neighbours also contributed to help make the day a success.
Residents enjoyed a variety of activities, including races, card games and quizzes, before taking part in a range of garden games and outdoor activities in the summer sunshine.
Andrea Brazil, Development Manager, said: “We are extremely grateful for the generous donations we received, which helped us raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, Rowan Court raised an impressive £400 for the charity.
Pegasus Court
Over at Pegasus Court residents came together to have a wonderful 60s themed summer party, where residents came together to enjoy a lovely time in the sun, dressed in a variety of colourful 60’s themed inspired outfits.
Residents socialised over a lovely selection of food and range of drinks with plenty of treats available throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere was filled with joy as everyone embraced the theme.
A wonderful time was had by residents and was a lovely opportunity for residents to enjoy each other’s company. It was a memorable occasion, strengthening the community within the development at Pegasus Court.
