We’re pleased to share that two colleagues from The FirstPort Group have been recognised in this year’s Flat Living and PMR’s Property Management Top 50.

Now in its seventh year, the PM50 awards celebrate individuals who drive excellence in property management, recognising those who raise industry standards while shaping its future through collaboration and innovation.

The awards feature six categories: Property Managers, Build to Rent, Influencers, Legends, Rising Stars, and Suppliers, recognising the top 50 professionals shaping the future of property management.

You can read about The FirstPort Group’s winners below:

Rising Star – Kerstin, Assistant Development Manager

Kerstin works as an Assistant Development Manager at FirstPort, overseeing three developments in King’s Cross, London. Her journey from Concierge to Head Concierge and now Assistant Development Manager reflects her rapid progression and outstanding capability. Kerstin played a pivotal role in launching a landmark development in 2024, personally recruiting and training a concierge team.

Kerstin’s impact extends beyond her immediate team. She designed key operational resources now used as best practice across other sites, and she leads with a hands-on approach, engaging daily with residents, coordinating with Housing Associations, and managing complex client needs across diverse buildings. Kerstin’s drive for continuous learning is evident in her commitment to the Corndel Management Programme and her TPI Level 3 qualification, both of which she is currently undertaking.

In support of her nomination, one colleague said:

“When I stepped into the Head Concierge role, Kerstin was always available to guide and support me. Her willingness to share knowledge and provide advice, even while balancing her own growing responsibilities, speaks volumes about her generosity as a colleague and her strength as a leader. What is most impressive is the way Kerstin has embraced her transition into her more demanding role. Despite the pressure and increased responsibilities, she has remained calm, efficient, and professional. Her ability to adapt and excel while continuing to uplift those around her makes her not only an outstanding colleague but also a role model for others in the company.”

Property Manager – James, Property Manager

James consistently fosters a culture where going the extra mile is the norm and where every team member feels empowered to make a meaningful difference. His team takes a proactive approach to safety, resulting in outstanding outcomes in fire safety assessments.

Speaking about the role, James said:

“What drives me every day is knowing that our work genuinely makes a difference in people’s lives. Seeing residents happy and the team succeed makes it all worthwhile.”
