Cyber security is high on FirstPort’s agenda. So much so that it’s one of the few companies in the property industry to have been awarded the Cyber Essentials Certification from a government-backed cyber security scheme.

The certification confirms, through independent assessment, that FirstPort has the appropriate security measures and controls in place, and is committed to protecting staff, client and customer information from the most common cyber-attacks.

FirstPort went through an independent review by the certification body to receive the accreditation following a revamp of its IT security over the last year. But with increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks on the rise across the world, it’s important not to stand still and FirstPort will continue to monitor and adapt its systems, taking into consideration best practice, legislation and advances in technology, to maintain the best possible cyber security.

Talking about the certification, Nigel Howell, Chief Executive of FirstPort, said:
“In today’s digital world, every company holds data and information about employees, customers and suppliers within a range of systems. Ensuring that those systems are safe and protected from cyber-attack is extremely important and something we know our customers value very much.”
