This company is growing and expanding. It is succeeding and it is creating opportunities of all kinds. That happens because people do roll their sleeves up here – that’s the other side of the team spirit.
My team looks after more than 1000 properties in the portfolio of a world scale insurance company. So we step into their shoes and ensure that everything they give and must do as property owners, as well as everything they get – all happens like clockwork.
We de-risk the whole experience of property ownership so our clients know they are fully compliant with health, safety and legislation and (where we also oversee the management) that their tenants are happy and properly taken care of.
When we joined FirstPort, I was very happy – you could see the positives immediately. (Mainstay joined FirstPort in 2020) It wasn’t just the type of organisation we joined – a large national company with resources and a big growth plan. More important for me is the type of people – This is a company growing fast but the ethos is extremely helpful. That’s worth stressing. People take time out throughout their working day to help others and get things done. It’s a good atmosphere and you can see everyone buys into it.
It’s nice to have a good team spirit – but it’s also necessary! This company is growing and expanding. It is succeeding and creating opportunities of all kinds. That happens because people do roll their sleeves up here – that’s the other side of the team spirit. So if you are willing to commit to working hard, then it is a very good and a very fair place to work – and definitely a place of huge opportunity.
Going from blank canvas to planning to results creates a real sense of achievement. And in the last 18 months our team has been on a journey of raising the standards across all the measures we need to achieve. So to see that we are now scoring high 90s – and that we’ve done it ourselves by redesigning the way we structure and deliver information to our client and third parties – it’s a real sense of satisfaction.
We don’t forget the social side – even with the pandemic and remote working. We all know that restrictions have been placed on our lives. We also have team members who are remote workers – but it does not stop us from making a good social network outside of work with events going on through the year. People get on here – and that happens by design not just by chance and goodwill.
